SnakeCam Search & Inspection System is a flexible, modular camera system which allows you to inspect tree holes, roof spaces, culverts, ponds and other underwater features. Originally designed for S&R applications, SnakeCam lets biologists inspect difficult to reach places and search for bats, martens, birds, nests and aquatic life. The RBW S&R Kit includes everything necessary for working in challenging situations. The basic system includes the camera (with built in cold LED lights), camera wand, hand held TFT display unit, and carry case along with cables and batteries.This SnakeEye display unit is very compact and has a rotating screen so that, regardless of the camera orientation, the picture can always be viewed 'head up'. The inbuilt recorder means it can capture images and record voice data, so there's no need to take a laptop out into the field. Simply insert an SD card and you can take high quality pictures, zoom in, add voice tags, rotate and flip the image. This data can easily be transferred to your PC by either inserting your SD card into the PC or connecting the display monitor directly to the PC via a USB cable. To reach further with the camera, a 1.3m-3.6m lightweight carbon fibre telescopic pole with articulating camera head is included, plus an extra 9.25m extension cable and gooseneck ('obedient' flexible cable) camera adapter. The camera is waterproof to 30m and in this kit there is also a camera protection cover for working in difficult conditions and a sun shield hood to protect the display from glare. This kit comes in a waterproof 'Peli' style case.
