The adaptor connects to a standard microphone with 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) connector which fits the line-out socket of your bat detector. This adapter incorporates passive components which provide DC blocking/isolation between the microphone input for device protection, as well as impedance matching components to allow a wide variety of microphones to be used with the device. This adapter will work with most 3.5 mm mono or stereo microphones except for unpowered ECM (electret condenser microphones). Works with: Apple: iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4G / iPad, iPad 2 / iPod This adaptor is designed for the iPhone/iPad but will also work with many other devices. Some smartphones do not require this adaptor lead and will work with a normal 3.5 mm audio cable alone. We recommend you try this out with your phone model before buying this lead.
