This 15W Heath-type moth trap is made from durable lightweight polypropylene and is fully waterproof. It's easily assembled and can be disassembled to a compact size for storage. The light source is a15W blacklight actinic bulb. Catches tend to be lower than with a mercury vapour trap but the actinic light is easier on the eye so is more suitable for a garden setting. The same number and species of moths can be caught if trapping takes place over a number of nights or if several traps are used within the recording area. This is a 240V trap which requires a mains power supply.
