STANDARD DELIVERY (UK)

We aim to despatch all in-stock items within 3 business days of receiving your order, but please allow up to 14 days for arrival of your goods. Subject to stock availability, your order will be despatched by Royal Mail or Interlink within 14 days (Monday-Friday). A signature may be required on delivery.

If you need your order in a hurry, then please choose Express delivery for the fastest service.

If your order is delayed for any reason we will let you know by email or telephone.

Delivery Times

Items sent by Royal Mail will arrive together with your normal post or parcel delivery service.

Items sent by Interlink will arrive at a time dependent on the courier service's schedule.

A signature may be required on delivery. If there is no one available to sign for the delivery they will leave a card. If you are not going to be in you can leave a note for the carrier (eg. "Please leave parcel in shed") but neither Alana Ecology nor the carrier will accept any liability for parcels left without a signature.

EXPRESS DELIVERY (UK)

Place your order before 12 noon and it will be despatched to arrive on the next working day*, subject to stock availability. A signature will be required.
    Examples (mainland UK):
  • Order placed Monday before 12.00, arrives Tuesday (before 5.30pm)
  • Order placed Monday after 12.00, arrives Wednesday
  • Order placed Friday before 12.00, arrives Monday
  • Order placed Friday after 12.00, arrives Tuesday
*Next-day service cannot be guaranteed for deliveries to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Holy Island, and the Isles of Scilly (UK postcodes AB30-31, AB33-38, AB41-63, DD8-10, FK8 3, FK16-17, FK21, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH10-11, PH13-14, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, TD15 2, TR21-25, and ZE). Express deliveries to these areas will normally take 2 working days.

Can I collect my order in person?

Yes, you can arrange to collect your order from our warehouse in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire. Please contact us to make an appointment for collection.

International Delivery Charges

For most items, charges for deliveries to destinations outside the UK are based on order value. In some cases where the delivery cost is going to be particularly high, we may contact you to obtain your agreement before we charge you.

International Delivery Times

Although many orders will be despatched within 24 hours, we aim to despatch all in stock items within 3 business days of receiving your order. Please allow up to 21 days for arrival of your goods, subject to stock availability and the speed of the delivery systems. Where it is beyond our control, some foreign destinations may take longer and may also be subject to extra carriage charges. Your order will be delivered by Royal Mail or TNT via the most economical and efficient method.

If your order is delayed for any reason we will let you know by email.

BFPO Deliveries

We can deliver to BFPO addresses overseas. Please select the UK as the delivery destination country and enter the BFPO number in the post code field when you enter the address.

Insurance

We automatically insure your goods against loss or damage whilst in transit. The exact charge for insurance will depend on the value of the goods, country of destination and the delivery system.

If Your Order Hasn't Arrived

We will email you when your order is despatched to let you know when to expect it.

If your order is delayed for more than 14 days for any reason, we will let you know. If you haven't received your order or heard from us within 14 days, please contact Sales.

If Your Order Has Arrived Damaged

We will replace the item as soon as possible. See Returns and Refunds for further information.

Delivery to More Than One Address

Please place a separate order for each delivery address. You can save multiple delivery addresses against your account for future use.

Undelivered Packages

When a carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we will contact you to let you know it has been returned.

If you would like us to re-send the order or send it to a different address we will be happy to do so, but please note there may be an additional delivery charge depending on the circumstances.

Why Was My Package Undeliverable?

Incorrect Address
If the address is incorrect or out of date, the package will usually be returned to us by the carrier or the unintended recipient. Please check that the delivery address is correct when placing a new order.

Failed Delivery Attempts
Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package and will leave a card. If a signature is required and no one is present to accept the delivery after three attempts, the package will be returned to us.

Refused by Recipient
If the recipient is not expecting a delivery, they may refuse the package, believing it was sent to them in error. Please let a gift recipient know that a surprise is on the way!

Direct Despatch Items

Certain items are despatched directly from the supplier to minimise unnecessary transport of heavy goods. These items may be despatched separately from the rest of your order and may be packaged differently. There is no additional delivery charge and delivery schedules are the same as normal.

Built to Order Items

Items which are custom-built or made to order can take longer to despatch. Full details of the time you can expect to wait for each item are given on the product details page.

Please note custom-built items are non-refundable (unless faulty).

Packaging Material

We recycle as much packaging as possible to minimise environmental impact. If your package contains polystyrene chips, it is because we are re-using those we have received from our suppliers. In cases where we use new packaging this is to provide the best protection for your goods in transit and we do try to keep the use of plastic materials to a minimum. Please re-use or recycle packaging if you can. Cardboard (after removing tape) can also be recycled as green waste at a local recycling centre or in your home compost.
