The Anabat SD1 detector gives you all you need to make remote recordings of bat calls in one unit. The calls picked up by detector can be written to a Compact Flash card within the unit for later analysis on a PC. This does away with the need for taking recording devices, relay switches, cables etc. into the field in addition to your bat detector. The SD1 system is packed with features to allow you to get exactly what you want from the data recorded.

CF Compatible
The detector can use a compact flash (CF) memory card (4GB max) to store the bat call data. As a rough guide, a 512MB card could store about 2 months worth of data. 2GB or 4GB card recommended. The serial number of the detector is embedded in the data stored so you can tell which detector recorded what data.

GPS Recorder
A global positioning system (GPS) can be connected to the detector. The exact position can then be simultaneously recorded with the bat call data.

Real Time Clock
An internal real time clock keeps track of the date and time bat call data is recorded.

RTC Wake up
The internal clock can be used to 'wake up' the detector at a programmed date and time, so conserving battery power until the detector is needed.

Programmable Monitoring
The SD1 can be programmed to monitor for bat calls between certain hours (eg. 6 to 11pm). This allows you to save battery power when leaving it in the field to remotely record bat activity.

Replaceable Transducer
Model STI (standard microphone), optional Hi-Mic (for use on extension cables), optional Lo-Mic (for low frequency bats)

Internal or External Batteries
The detector can be powered from either 4 internal 'AA' size batteries (suitable for overnight or shorter term use) or a 12V external battery for extended use in the field.

Computer Connection
The SD1 can be connected to a PDA to produce real-time sonograms of detected calls. An excellent feature to aid rapid and accurate identification of bats in the field. The SD1 has also other helpful features such as a voice recorder, selectable audio and data division ratios, low battery indicator, audio mute and calibration tone. AnalookW sound analysis software program is included to produce sonograms from your recordings. Comprehensive user manuals and a cable for connection to computers are included. Batteries and CF memory card not included.

AnaLook is the free software packaged with the SD1 detector, which is used for analysis of recorded Anabat sequence files.

Easy to use, the package enables extremely fast review of recorded files and includes functions to create your won species lists.
